(semi-)generative music

Post by Fretloos » Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:03 am

Please share you experiments!

I made something that makes a random mash up from 8 different interpretations of The Girl From Ipanema: http://www.vimeo.com/25022692
Arrangement is fixed, but everything you hear is random and will be different the next time you hear it...

nice use of follow actions.
i'd like to hear it with voice follow actions a little slower, maybe 2 beats instead of 16ths.

Antonio Carlos Jobim and Sinatra doing bossanova. Good stuff! My fave from it is One Note Samba, which I've mucked around remix style but put on the backburner.
That was fun! I'm into mixing together different versions of old latin stuff too but much more conservative.
