I've been attempting to use the send/return on my DJM-800 to connect to an input/output on my sound interface and use Ableton for effects when I DJ. Is this possible? So far I've connected the "send" on the DJM-800 to the input on my interface (sapphire 6 USB). Then I connected the "return" on the DJM-800 to the output on the sapphire 6. In Ableton, I created an audio track with the "audio from" set to "ext in", and then "audio to" I selected "master".
Once all that is configured, I set the DJM-800 to "snd/rtn" and pick the channel playing audio, currently a CDJ. I can see the meter moving for both the audio channel, and the master out, but when I press the "on/off" button on the DJM-800 to turn on the send/return, I don't hear any effect.
Am I missing something? I've searched in the forums, but I can't find anyone using send/return, everyone seems to be sending audio to a line in on the mixer and playing that instead.
