Where to offer my services?

Post by Ambioun - Techno Man » Fri Jun 17, 2005 3:04 am

I've been told by a few people here that my production skills are off the wall and I want to use that. So im asking if there is anyplace i can offer my services as a gift "ie no money"? As a hobbie?

all sarcasm aside...why dont you go hook up with a couple student filmmakers at your local junior college. Im sure they'll be in need a some music/sound design.

Your signature is killer, futureproof, ha, ha. A friend of mine was djing once and some girl comes up to him and says "can you play a song for me?" so he says "what's it called?" and she says "I don't know but it goes doosh, doosh, doosh", ha,ha.

Well I thank you futureproof, I really am not in the mood for sarcasm. And I think its really unprofessional when someone asks for help to just make fun of their question.

Thank you again futureproof.

What do you mean "Off The Wall". That could mean great, weird, or rubbish.?

Can you explain what you mean a bit more

Offer your off the wall services to yourself for free and compose/produce an album, then your next step is figuring out how to sell it.

Alternatively, go check out some local bands in your area and find one that might benefit from your technical skills that don't already have your type of talent (even if just persuading them to give you demo tapes that you can remix)

A producer in what Field?. Much better and much more money in the Producer field unless your at the top of the tree in sound design.

I think you should give the production a go. Perhaps produce some of the members of this forums music, although some of them might be offended at the thought their music needs a producer. Then again I dont think you can produce certain styles of electronica which have a very personal sound to the artist.

Producing maybe genre dependent? One thing I do know is that many self produced artists are in sore need of a producer. Thats basically what seperates the men from the boys.

If you like you can send me a small mp3 and I'll give you an honest critique. I have production credits with Universal Music and other majors so I do have some qualifications, although it's still just an opinion.
