Audio plugins behave way differently in Live than in Cubase

This is really frustrating. If I try to use the same settings in Live that I used for plugins in Cubase 5, they sound horrible and overpowering. I have to turn the wet mix waaaaaaay down and it still sounds all screwy. Anyone else have this problem? One effect is KR Reverb and the other is GrevDly.
