MIDI pitch bend not imported with MIDI file

Ableton Live 8.1
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Dell Vostro w/ Intel Core 2 Duo...

When I drag a MIDI file onto a MIDI track in Ableton Live, the notes are imported successfully, but some or all of the pitch bend values contained in the file are missing.

I am producing MIDI with an external microtuning program, and the pitch bending is the way that it works, so its extremely important; there should be a pitch-bend value change for nearly every note.

Anyone have an idea why the pitch bend values within the .mid file are being ignored when dropping the file into Live like this?
