Suit yourselves. I can understand and actually welcome NI's decision on this, as difficult as it must have been, because of what all this means for Maschine.

but this is a topic (discontinued VSTs and sofware/hardware-compatibility, OSs, drivers,.....) I started to think about a little more because of the sirprising announcement of NI.

I came to the conclusion that I have all the tools I need to make any music I want (with all kinds of strange sound design stuff and endless possibilities). Maybe it's time to recognise that we don't need more stuff to work with. Maybe just stop looking and use the stuff you have.

I'm sure that everyone of us has more on his machine than he ever uses (but still looks for new stuff).
Why? I'm the same but really, I can do more than I ever thought I could do with audio :D

The only problem is that when my PC breaks I will have to get a new one (and I would definetely go for Win7 again). Not interested in win8 or any other new OS. But what to do when it's 2030/40 and my machine breaks? There won't be any win7-compatible hardware around and I will have to upgrade and loose all software maybe :?

Fuck :!:

Never really understood what was Kore... Seemed like a hardware kontakt? but still needed a computer to run it?

Oh well, on my side, blame it on the marketing, when you don't know what a product does, you don't need it!

You should have stated that from the beginning. :|
