Can't access the file vcredist_x86.exe - install failed

Windows can't access the file vcredist_x86.exe, thus I can't install live 8.2. I followed the path, and was able execute it. I don't understand why it doesn't work...

Any ideas?

i am also having a related issue with 8.2.2

when installing, it reaches the "copying file c:\program files\live 8.2.2\redist\vcredist_x86.exe" part, waits there a while, and then a dialogue box pops up and says "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). click on ok to terminate the application"

when i click OK, it actually finishes installing live, and everything seems fine

edit: thought i had another problem.. .and infact i do, but it's with my brain, not ableton

My installation freezes on the vcredist_x86.exe file. Any ideas/solutions?
