Anyone got any good advice on how to get a really solid bassline, proper deep house stuff?

Cheers

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTcopp-mpmo, cliched? possibly, but sick bass? definitely. But any advice involving the oscillators etc, I've kind of got the hang of eq-ing reverb, compressing on a basic level but my bass just feels like it's lacking something

Doesn't sound like anything that special. Square wave, bit of verb/delay on top w/ a filter that filters through the harmonics. Probably a little more complex, but that's where I'd start.

just play with some sine waves and square wave oscillator combinations on something like operator. i think most deep bass (from what ive come across) lines are varying elements of the two
