Video size

Hello ableton users,

i don't understand why when i import a .mov or .mp4 movie, the preview window show me a deformed size of the original one ? And when i export, the same ? it is like a 900 px for a 1024 px width size ?

I'm using Ableton Live 8.2.2 on mac OSX 10.6.5 ; Quicktime 10.0 installed

Mmm no idea, its all fine here with same version on Win7. Maybe a mac thing? Quicktime can be a bitch sometimes.

When I insert a video, it load at the good resolution, 1:1 ratio.

Same thing here, when i change the window size.
But, closing the window an reopening it fixes it 98% of the time (cmd+alt+v)

ok...the problem seems different. No probs on the export here.

Live uses the size of the window for export if you choose "Current size" from the export options. I think this is weird.

This is really weird yes, there should be an export video settings windows somewhere.

The window size only applies if you choose "Current size" - otherwise you can type in the preferred resolution in the video export settings and then you'll get it.

I was just confused by this, since I would expect "Current size" refer to the original size of the video and not the size of the window.
