No Midi Mute Key? This can't possibly be true....

Post by pmer » Thu Jun 23, 2011 1:15 am

Hi everyone,

Just switched over from Logic and kicking myself for not doing so sooner, awesome program!

Having some trouble with muting or as Ableton calls it "activating/deactivating" midi notes within a region. In Logic I would merely press M for mute, simple enough. I know you can right click and hit deactivate, but, that would require 2 clicks for every note to mute and as everyone is aware, when you're stuck in front of the screen for hours a simple keyboard button would just seem mandatory. Is there a method of assigning keyboard keys to that function to address this problem? I've ran a few searches online but to no avail. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks!

Steve
