I know there are several threads on this issue, but I am going to try and generate some new interest on the topic.
I 've been using the APC40 for a couple of years now, and recently I bought Native Instruments' Kore 2 software & controller. When I use either controller by itself, everything runs smoothly. When I try to use both, chaos ensues! APC becomes unresponsive, Live crashes, etc.
I will not go into details because this issue is all over the forum, everyone gets different symptoms, but noone seems to get them to work together.
My questions are:
1) Has anyone found a solution or a workaround?
2) Has Ableton, AKAI or NI given any solutions or opinions on the matter?
3) Which of the three companies do you think I should pressurize most about the issue? Obviously they will start blaming each other.
4) Have I just wasted 400 euros? (Kore 2 is of no use to me if I cannot incorporate it into my gig setup.)
Any input is welcome.
Why won't the APC40 and Kore 2 controller coexist happily?

Re: Why won't the APC40 and Kore 2 controller coexist happily?
I have a similar problem. When I start Live and my Default Set loads, the KORE Controller is not recognized... I think the problem is in some conflicting mididata. So I think the problem is a NI problem.

You are asking pieces of hardware to do the same job ! Kore 2 is dedicated to Kore, but it still is JUST a midi controller. As for the APC, it "auto" maps any VST, thus, kore being used as a vst within Live, its mapped to the apc. Solutions are to unenable the apc or to unenable the kore in the midi in/out preferences, or to reassign the midi controls manually for the apc, letting the kore doing what it was made for, good luck with the programming....... Too much gizmos on your set up, to much hassle and your fuked up (CONFUCIUS)
