Maybe it's because I have an external sync source, and some conflict with the MIDI Sync settings (I've turned off sync now for all my ports inputs/outputs), but when I stop a loop in looper (with the intention of setting it aside, clearing the loop, and maybe using it later) the stop action causes my global playback to stop. What's going on here? How could I populate the loop in a live situation if purging the loop causes everything to stop each time? Maybe I'm just not getting the feel of when a double tap is necessary-as I record and then go straight into overdub.
Any help would be appreciated.
Problem: Looper stop causing playback to stop.

before this gets buried...
and just a reminder: I actually want to keep this in a fallback to overdub mode. Is there a real improvement in getting more than one pedal dedicated to the looper, what would be the 2nd, 3rd control you'd assign if you had the choice, or do you like the sequence of triggers in using it with one pedal?
