iOS software with MIDI thru ?

Post by Coupe70 » Tue Jun 28, 2011 3:41 pm

Hi,

does anyone know about a software for iOS that supports
CoreMIDI and Line6 MIDI Mobilizer and gives you MIDI thru ?

I mean data coming in on MIDI Mobilizer routed to Core MIDI output ?

Could be a software only doing this or an iOS audio production
software having this functionality, I don't care...

Just to explain WHY I want this - with this funtionality the iPhone
and a normal WiFi connection could replace these special devices
for wireless MIDI:

I take my battery powered Korg MicroKontrol, attach the MicroKontrol MIDI Out
to the MIDI Mobilizer In by cable and route the incoming data to CoreMIDI
output which then goes wireless to my laptop - that would give me a wireless
MIDI keyboard using a normal wireless network and no special hardware.

TouchOSC for example supports MIDI Mobilizer and CoreMIDI, the only thing
that's missing is the MIDI THRU, routing one MIDI port to the other inside
the software...

Can't watch videos at the moment, but I'm pretty sure you can't achieve
MIDI Thru with TouchOSC (I know how to set it up)...

But nevermind, Audeonic created the MidiBridge App after my specifications.
Works great to make every MIDI keyboard or sequencer wireless, especially
the ones that are battery-powered like microKontrol, microKorg, MPC500 etc...
