Missing/changed settings and sounds after rename and reboot

Post by vido » Fri Jul 01, 2011 9:00 pm

As my machine was a bit slow and my project started to glitch a bit, I renamed it and rebooted to get it back up and going.

When coming back to it some of the sounds, including live-internal instruments has changed settings (sub-bass is suddenly almost without sub etc), soft-synths are back to the initial pre-set (or no sound at all)...

Has this happened to anyone else / is there any way to get things back as they were...?

I'm on a macbook pro 2009 2.66, 8gb ram, 2.66 Snow Leopard 10.6.7

So... it seems the project is corrupt - sends and mutes etc don't work as they should. Thought I'd found a workaround by importing tracks from an older save. I'll try the other way around, open a new project and import all the tracks in there. Hopefully it's the project that is corrupt, not the separate tracks. Clearly still have to do a lot of double-work... better that than losing all of what I've done so far.
