Workaround for freezing multi-output instruments?
Workaround for freezing multi-output instruments?
Hopefully we'll be able to freeze multi-output instruments compressor-tracks and maybe even groups in a soon to come(?) future version of Live... Do you know of a workaround that doesn't involve bouncing?

Re: Workaround for freezing multi-output instruments?
Unfortunately I think this is a "universal" problem with no workaround.
I use multitimbral/multi-out instruments in Logic all them time and unfortunately you cannot freeze instruments that use multiple outputs in there either so I think it is just something you have to accept when using multi-timbral instruments like Kontakt.
One thing you can do is use a rewire host like Bidule by Plogue, or Rax by Audiofile Engineering. This is typically the workaround used by film/game composers ...

Thanks man - yeah well I cant say I've really looked in to bidule yet, as it looks really complicated to my eyes... But maybe I should... So you actually use them?dnbhallifax wrote:Unfortunately I think this is a "universal" problem with no workaround.
