Consolidate arrangement view automation into a clip

I would love some kind of feature that would allow you to take all those multiple lanes of automation that you've done in the arrangement view and print them to a clip that could then be dragged and dropped into session view. So for example, when you consolidate a midi clip, it automatically prints all the lane automation into the clip envelope automation.

automation in clips is relative and in arrangement is absolute.

it good be better if when drawing automation in clips you could choose it to be relative or absolute being relative the default (for compability).

YES! REALLY want this feature, in fact I just searched for a thread, thinking I had requested it before, in order to bump it. It would make, say, recording a 15 minute jam and attempting to edit it or perform it live much much easier.

Also, I think it would be really natural to turn this feature on and off with the lock envelopes button.

In reply to the second post, if you set parameters at their highest value and then paste in the automation from the arrangement, the scaling works out to give you the same thing... so it could work.

I would be awesome. But I usually just re-sample. Then it's all recorded into an Audio clip

Yeah automation is the only thing that let's the abe gurus down. The program would be complete with session view automation without a doubt. The poor old abes can't get their heads around the relative and absolute issue though unfortunately. I'm going to try just doubling! Up the midi data from my weapon of choice with midi yoke or some such so that the motions of the unmapped midi device will be recorded in the same clip on the same channel with the same cc's etc......see if that works.....
