Korg Nano Kontrol - Button Toggle Behaviour

Post by MikeIndidginus » Thu Aug 19, 2010 9:28 pm

Hi guys,

Is there anyone to set up the toggle so that if I have one of the buttons lit & press another then the other turns off? At present I can only turn off the led if I press the same button again. Many thanks.

Michael.

there is a driver for the Nano controllers where you can change the behavior of buttons to either toggle or momentary. go to the Korg website and you should find what you are looking for.

Thanks Memes, but I've already done that. The problem lies in unexplained button behaviour as outlined above.

touche- my bad. that doesn't sound like its anything you can do with the controller itself- perhaps a Max/MSP patch (does Max for Live come with MSP?)

I've got Live 7.0.18. I believe Max for Live works only for 8. Thanks for your suggestions though :)

I'm almost certain the nanoKONTROL can't receive MIDI so there's no way for Live to tell it to turn off an LED so that what you see on your computer matches what you see on the nanoKONTROL.

Hi guys,

I've got toggle working as I'd like it to for rack buttons & for channel mutes. But when I try to do the same for solo/cue, it reverts to the same behaviour of having to double click buttons!

I've set up in Korg Kontrol Editor for the buttons to send cc & toggle. I can see no reason at all why the solo/cue mapping behaves differently. In Ableton midi mappings, the only difference I can see is that the buttons which work correctly have min & max values set (64 & 127), but the solo/cue buttons have no values & no way of setting the values. Can anyone help please?

Michael.

you might want to check solo/Arm button's behaviour in ableton too. (record/warp/launch-menu)
If you can't get the buttons on the nanokontrol to toggle that way,
you can at least make the solo buttons behave the same way as the nanokontrol
by deactivating the exclusive-thing in the record/warp/launch-menu..
