New APC40 user needs help!

For the past few weeks I have been making a template for when my APC40 comes in. It finally came this week and I have been fine tuning my template ever since. One problem I am trying to solve at this point is Track Selection.

Right now I have 8 tracks, and each one has the same Effects Rack on it. With the default mapping you can only have one track highlighted at a time. My problem is, say I wanted activate the Beat Repeat (in the Effects Rack) on Track 3 and 4 ONLY, I cant do it, I can only do it to one at a time. How can I select more then one Track with the APC and control a Macro knob on each one? Do I need to use a Midi Translator like Bome or something? Is this even possible? This is the one thing I cant seem to figure out. Can anyone help me out here?

You can hard map them but this loses the functionality of the APC40...

I just tried hard mapping them, but it doesnt work. I want to have tracks 3 and 4 lit up on the APC at the same time, and be able to control the beat repeat on both channels with with one knob on the APC

Oh i see... no you cant do that, you basically want to have the device control encoders map to both tracks 3 and 4 at the same time.... You can map a knob to both beat repeats but it will only ever be mapped to them... Have you looked at the different banks of encoders using the shift and number buttons....

You pretty much need to read the manual....

Shift plus numbers = different banks for the device control encoders....
