Hello was woundering if anyone knew how to pitch shift the delay effect.

I would like to achive a sound that wance trggered has delay on it but the consecutive delayed sound pitchs sifht iter up or down by x amount. is this possible in live.

I used to be able to do it in fruityloops tis a nice effect.

You could also try one of the Oli Larkin plug-ins at KVR (Endless Tone, Endless Flage or Endless Phaser)

http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1218.html

They produce that always moving up FX.

Ephonic Retro delay will do this. Its one of THE BEST freebies out there IMHO.

I don't think these are the ones he's looking for. In fruityloops the delay on the sample unit can put a pitch shift on every delay. so suppose you're putting a C1 with a delay of 1/4 (sync) and octave pitch shift you would have...

C1 - [wait 1/4] - C2 - [wait 1/4] - C3 ...

Some applications of it you can simulate with ktgranulator.

- feedback on
- max green durations
- small iot
- min pitch = max pitch

grain delay does NOT do the job nicely. it garbles the sound as the frequency setting cannot be turned off.

Simple Delay and Ping Pong both have a repitch mode. Perhaps this is what you are looking for?

There is a video here that shows you a technique for using it : http://www.quantizecourses.com/pages.php/?p=1472

Hope this helps :-)

if you've got a spare $60, you might want to investigate:

it's fairly nuts!

Yeah, Right-Click on the Delay effects and you will see Repitch. It's fun to mess around with.

There's a free VST called Valhalla Freq Echo that does all kinds of strange repitched delays to.

the granular delay function will help, just tweak it a few notches and you will be able to notice the changes.

Grain Delay DOES the job!

For windows' users there's a freeware vst called Son of a Pitch, one of the best I've tried.
But hard to find [google it and you should find a download link somewhere - if not, well then pm me]

Or this: http://bram.smartelectronix.com/plugins.php?id=2

For those who can afford the price, see GRM Tools [Pitchaccum is amazing] for both mac and win

a simple pitch shifter is a ramp wave modulating a delay time, so if you wanna do it the weird way just set simple delay to pitch mode and draw some lines...
