Clip launching query...help me you wonderful people!

Hi everyone,

Here's my problem...I want to be able to launch clips that interrupts another (master) clip. For example...Say I have a main drum sequence and I want to launch breaks into it and the then to return to point the master clip was interrupted at. I am aware of 'Legato' mode, however that returns you not to the place you interrupted, but it essentially keeps playing and you return to wherever it has moved on to.

Does this make sense? What I want is legato mode that essentially pauses the play of one clip while another is punched in and then returns. Is there any way to do this?

Any help you can give on this would be amazing, even if it's a work around or lateral thinking
