I've just got a fcb1010 which I want to use with live. I use a Tascam US1800 interface hooked up to a Macbook Pro. The US1800 has a midi in/out connection on the back. My question is am I better connecting the FCB1010 to the midi connections on the US1800 or via a usb port on the mac?
I'm guessing the former but my knowledge of these things is pretty sketchy..
