Hi there,
I have an amazing track in progress, i have all the layers now, bar two i am unsure on the route key...
I have played about but my ears just arent good enough to figure the key out
Heres a link to the 2 samples: <a href='http://www.sendspace.com/file/jl7soz'>h ... /jl7soz</a>
Can anyone help me find the exact route key PLEASE. The rest of my track is in route key E, and i understand about the transpose semitone thing to change the key...so all im asking is how many clicks right or left to make the above 2 samples match the route key of the track, being E
Hope to hear from someone,
chris

Re: What key are these samples???
Not many of us like to do homework for others.
Look you have 12 choices that it can be. Why not try each one, one at a time until it sounds right to you. Sometimes it might work a fifth above the root key (that's seven clicks to you)
You need to learn to do this yourself. If we do the work for you now, when will you learn?
Maybe I wouldn't come off as being so terse if you hadn't had said it was an "amazing" track. If you can create an amazing track, why can't you hear pitch?

And you already posted the same thing here: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php? ... n+progresssamurai1 wrote:Hi there,

Also consider that depending on what kind of material you already have and what you want to do with it there might be more than one right answer… or no right answer at all.

Re: What key are these samples???
get mixed in key. if the samples are over 4 seconds (thats what they officially say) it will pick it accurately. id run it through mine but im on low band width at moment
