how do i rename all the clips across 1 track

Hi

I know i always go "cubase this, cubase that ."

but is there a way on live to 'rename all the clips on one track'

on cubase you could rename the track holding CTRL and it would rename all the clips too

i want to tidy up an arrangement by renaming things like

kick kick kick kick kick kick
clap clap clap clap clap clap clap clap
hat hat hat
bass bass bass bass
lead1 lead1 lead1 lead1 lead1 lead1
lead2 lead2 lead2 lead2 lead2 lead2
FX FX FX FX

etc and have all the clips renamed across the track

is there a way of doing it?

Unfortunately, no, this can't be done. If all of the clips are the same you could rename the first one and then make it a loop in the clip view. This will allow you to drag the end (slip edit) the clip across the arrange page.

Yes, it can. Select all the clips you want to rename, open the clip overview tab, and type the name you want clip name field.
