yo, I went travelling with a bit of gigging involved last year. bought a NAMBA (not to be confused with NAMBLA) http://nambagear.com/big-namba-studio-backpack/
Fitted a 15 inch mbp, APC40, MPD 32, Final scratch 2 soundcard, HD 25 headphones, power cables, other cables and room for a few other bits and pieces. bit expensive but incredible bags, very cumfortable and i could take it as carry on luggage. funny rocking up to a few studios watching peoples faces as you just keep pulling gear out of a backpack.

I think this one is a better option (http://www.coolcomputerbags.com/youth-t ... 7-and-over). These all are 17" laptop bags and can house laptops of any size. Hope this helps you.
