Hi, so I was messing around with my MIDI keyboard, and my keyboard has a button, "Sustain", which you hold down and it sustains the notes as you play them. If you record with sustained notes, it keeps the sustained quality of the notes.
My question is where does it store the fact that the note is sustained (I'd figure it's like velocity on/off type thing) but I can't find it. I'd like to be able to change it by myself in the future.
I also notice that if I playback the melody, and hit the sustain button again, the sustain turns off, and then I can't turn it back into a sustained note again unless I undo it. Is this a glitch?
What controls Sustain?
Re: What controls Sustain?
Sustain data is stored in clip envelopes (see manual chapter 19) as midi controller 64 ("hold pedal").

Do you think you could give this question an answer?

And am I posting these kinds of questions in the right forum? They seem to take a while to answer if they're answered at all.
