start with the ones made for live- APC20, APC40, launch pad. you're getting no help cuz the question is too general. midi controllers for playing keyboard parts? for changing volume/automation? to trigger clips?

He asked a simple question... I gave a simple answer. I don't think he asked for a popularity rating but hey, point taken. Back to the shaddow I go 8)

as per the previous statement, the ones popular with live are the ones designed for live, APC's, Launchpad, the rest is more of a "what midi controllers are popular with electronic musicians" kind of situation.

Your feminine wiles won't get you far with me.

And I think he DID ask for a popularity rating. Uhhhhhhhh I think he's asking for what's popular. Nevermind that it's a totally impractical way of looking at a MIDI controller; it's what he wants, and who am I to second guess the man?
