file/folder question

hi...for some reason i cannot drag files from windows folders into audio tracks...it works fine from the live browser though..

also, when i save project as on my laptop, it doesnt save into a folder, it just saves an ALS file....what gives? works fine on my desktop...is there some sort of setting i need to change?
when i collect all and save, where do the files go if there is no folder?
