Uses for the APC40

I bought my APC40 and full copy of Ableton last night.

I opened up the manual and read the section on using the APC40. This section only explains how to use the APC40 as a remote control for Ableton. I could already do 90% of this stuff with my Axiom 25 midi controller.

So, I want to know:

1) How do I use the APC40 as a step sequencer? (I.e. make the clip buttons act like a drum sequencer MPC style).
2) How do I use it as a midi keyboard (i.e. assign drum samples to the clip buttons) and record drum patterns this way?
3) Are there amy VSTs or parts of Ableton which takes full advantage of the APC40 (i.e. treats it like an instrument rather than a mere remote control)?

That free script is exactly what I was looking for.

Now, just have to confirm that I can use it to step sequence my drum kits etc. well.
