Question about instrument addons and upgrades

Just out of curiosity, what's the deal with instrument addons and upgrades? I have Live 7 and am about to purchase sampler. I was wondering about what happens when I eventually upgrade my Live. Will there be an upgrade fee for Sampler or does that get upgraded with my Live installation?

if you are just upgrading to live8...it doesn't come with sampler, so it will just be like, you have live...with sampler...
im not sure, if you upgrade to suite, if they modify the price if you already have some of the instruments? i would think not....at that point you are already getting somewhat of a deal, since each instrument bought separately costs like a hundred some bones a piece...and an upgrade is probably only 200 bucks? that is why i actually upgrade to suite, because everyone was kind of just like, "get operator and sampler and FTW" but suite was only like 200 bucks to upgrade from live8, and two instruments cost either just shy of that or a little over. but i never use any of the other instruments, like never.....well i am a rambler...

That's the thing though, I'm on Live 7 right now so an upgrade to 8 Suite is about $360. While it would be fun to get the whole suite plus Live 8, I don't really need all the extra stuff or L8 for that matter. I only really need Sampler so I can use all my existing Kontakt and EXS sample libraries. I was just wondering if I get Sampler now, will I only have to pay the Live Upgrade price when I move to L8/L9 (later on) or will I be paying the Live upgrade+a separate Sampler upgrade fee.
