I will say this. I don’t ever recall RIM ever having the kind of ego outbursts that most other tech companies have when they enjoy a large percentage of the market, but that also might be part of a long tradition of Canadian passivity.

I'm at the Apple store right now.

The guy helping me had to go on break so he pointed me to Gabe way at the other end of the store. You know, the guy in the blue shirt holding an iPad. :x

I do recall a little open letter not too long ago, however. :P :x

can you also cook an omlette, teach a yoga class, clean a fish and repair a motorcycle at the same time?

:x this generation!

PS... the closest rival to the iPad 2 was the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, but last week the ASUS Transformer took second place in sales figures (albeit, a distant second).

I don’t have the android tablet but I have the iOS 4 equivalent of android on a samsung S2. I did have an iPhone 4 until it was stolen recently.

Both systems have their merits. iOS has more finese whereas android has more power and functionality though not as nice of an experience. I think it depends on the user. As I have both I get the best of both worlds.

Hope that helps

yeah it helps a bit, having a difficult time pullin the trigger on a tablet probably because I know where my next beat is coming from more so than my next meal. I can't stand wasting money.
is the consensus at this point that lets say the ipad, the galaxy, and the asus transformer are pretty much the same but that it's really depending on the apps now, or are things still in the stage that there is actually one better than the others, are the apps on the non-ipads starting to catch up?

Shut up and get an iPad. They're light years beyond the competitor tablets. Period. iPads are even the tablet of choice by Android phone users.

And I'm not being sarcastic or a fanboy there. It's the truth.

The apps system on android is way behind to date - it is fragmented. If you want a more reliable app that is supported for a longer time then iOS wins hands down. I am not saying it can't be achieved in android but it will take time.

tell me how you really feel beats  ok so now that rave has got me on the fence beats you're just the person to ask this next question cause I know you always get stuff soon as it drops do you think there is an ipad 3 coming out in the next 6 months or how soon do you guys envision it's arrival.
I'm going to travel a bit at the end of september I would hate to get one and then right before I leave version 3 comes out with that easy ass file storage and transfer that they should have put on the first damn version.
