AKAI-MPD26 beat repeat

Hi,
need help figuring out the beat repeat on mpd 26, when using external clock....
Just can't get it going...internal no problem...
Anybody own one?

Did you mean the note repeat function on the mpd?
If that's the case, when it's set to external make sure sync is activated in MIDI preferences.
Then press play. If the track is stopped there's no timing to sync to.

If you meant the beat repeat effect in ableton though, you may need to elaborate.

Thanx for reply, yes I meant MPD26 synchronized with Ableton, (where the NOTE repeat from MPD records in sync) but I figured it out by activating the MPD26 sync output...simple really
