Re: General Noob question
You could also just make a set with all the various tracks you want and save it as a master template and then as you build your song just save as and rename it
Also it is a good practice to rack your vst's
For instance i have a Massive sub preset that i made that I put in a rack
Not only does it automatically open that preset when i drag it in
But it is stored in my Library
As opposed to navigating through my vst folder then searching through the presets to load said sub

Re: General Noob question
a delay like the effect that repeats a section of audio over and over or a delay to compensate for delay when you play into Live?

Re: General Noob question
This was very Helpful,,,does this work with VST's as well too??ShelLuser wrote:Dusty... Yes, there is way to do that.
Start Live, then simply setup the environment which you want to have when you fire up the program. Then go to the preference screen (control ,) and check the "File Folder" tab. At the bottom there's an option called "Save current set as default"; click the "save" button behind it.
Now every time you startup Live it will load this particular environment.
If for whatever reason you want to use the original (default) environment again simply keep shift pressed while clicking the option "new liveset" in the File pulldown menu.
Hope this helps!

Should do, as long as the VSTs are in the same folder every time.dusty4444 wrote:This was very Helpful,,,does this work with VST's as well too??ShelLuser wrote:Dusty... Yes, there is way to do that.

That was what I was thinking also...but you know they say great minds think alike....but don't get swell-headed, you'll never be as great as me.Tone Deft wrote:a delay like the effect that repeats a section of audio over and over or a delay to compensate for delay when you play into Live?

Re: General Noob question
Does anyone know to which location this new customized default set is saved?
I re-installed my Live and want my old default set restored. But I'm not able to locate it in the library or in the installation folder of Live.
I found DefaultLiveSet.als in \Resources\Versions but this is the orginal set which is used when you hift-click a new set. \Resources\Defaults is empty, too.
Any hint is welcome!
