Questions for beta testers!

Post by Machinesworking » Mon Jun 20, 2005 1:18 am

Since I, and others, did not make the beta deadline, I'm wondering.......

One of my big pet peeves with Live is that you cannot assign a keyboard key to show/hide the file browser, and other sub windows. Is this possible in 5?

I second this, drives me nuts that the browser is always open when you launch a new Live set.

Maybe I'm wrong but couldn't you make a template where the browser is closed? Just a though but probably not possible.
Dual 2.5gig G5 with 2.5g/ram, DP 4.6, Live 6, Kontakt, Battery, Guitar Rig, EWQLSO Gold, Ivory, Pluggo, Waves, Tritone Digital, PSP, tons of free plug-ins, DFHS, BFD, Event ASP8's, Trigger Finger.....and a bunch of other shite.

AAARRGH!!!

Why isn't this something more people are wanting? that's what I want to know? Seriously, if more people wanted this simple feature, then it would have happened years ago?
I don't get it?

What's the point of posting it in the wishlist? I doubt it will get to the Abletons enough to implement it in 5, so it's at least a year off. :(

I tried the template idea many times, no go. Every set I open or make from scratch has the browser open.

EVERYTHING in Live should be MIDI controlled, including all the hide/view buttons.

This drives me bananas really. Live is so much more geared towards using as a remix tool than any other DAW, but it for some reason misses some really basic things. I'm absolutely bewildered as to why people have been letting this go for all these years? I think I'm going to start a poll about this....
