Sampling Help

Ive just starting making beats and everything I have made so far has just been midi and synth stuff no samples. Well now I want to learn to sample and make wu tang style beats, but every time I try it I have troubles with matching tempos and just basically getting the thing im sampling to match the drums I make. If anyone can help maybe give me some basic sampling tutorials that would be awesome!
