Feature Request (or Bug Fix): Kill exe after crash/shut down
Feature Request (or Bug Fix): Kill exe after crash/shut down
When ever live crashes or I shut it down, I have to wait 5-10 minutes to restart it as the exe will not exit (can't end process, end process tree or kill proc!). I'm super happy with live...would like less crashing and when it does, I'd like to be able to spin it up right away. Thx.

turn off your midi controllers. i had that alot when i was using windows and it turned out that a midi controller on a usb bus could keep live hanging around in the memory for some time.ScudMan wrote:When ever live crashes or I shut it down, I have to wait 5-10 minutes to restart it as the exe will not exit (can't end process, end process tree or kill proc!). Is it really about MIDI controllers?friend_kami wrote:turn off your midi controllers. i had that alot when i was using windows and it turned out that a midi controller on a usb bus could keep live hanging around in the memory for some time.ScudMan wrote:When ever live crashes or I shut it down, I have to wait 5-10 minutes to restart it as the exe will not exit (can't end process, end process tree or kill proc!). I remember having the crash wait even when I didn't have any MIDI interfaces connected.
Could it be about the audio interface? I'm running Mbox (original) with ASIO drivers (+ MidiSport2x2).
Re: Feature Request (or Bug Fix): Kill exe after crash/shut down
Turn off the audio interface as well.
Still you have to wait with audio interface and midi off.
Solution: Don't provoke a crash.
