Creating clips without making a new project folder everytime

I would like to build up a library of clips from a whole bunch of records I have sampled.

Here is my problem. I have large chunks of spoken word tracks that I want to chop into smaller clips, all these clips will have different warping and what not, so I have been going through the large audio tracks turning on the warping and looping, then moving around the words to timings I like. I then copy and paste that chunk to a new clip and then crop the clip down to just the looped bit I want and rename the clip to easily identify it later. When all that is done I drag it over to the library (in a folder I have created), and this is the REAL problem, it creates a new project folder for every cropped and renamed clip!!!

I don't want this at all. I want to be able to drag the clips over to organized folders so I don't have to click and open up each project folder.

Is there a way around this? Does it have to do with cropping the clip (which I suspect it maybe)? Is there a better way to make clips?

I ultimately want to be able to take a bunch of old recordings I have of me playing drums and other instruments and cutting those up into clips as well so I would like to figure this out before I put in a ton of work slogging through audio and finding out there is a MUCH easier way to do this.

Can't you just have one project folder and put all your clips in there? It's been a while since I've tried something like this but I think it works this way.
