Advanced Midi mapping help

I'm trying to get my axiom 61 to have different presets that I can change on the fly.

1. Have all the keys a lead
- Have the drum pads control a drum rack

*PUSH ONE BUTTON THEN..*

2.Have half the keys a PAD and the other half lead
-Have the drum pads control glitch samples

can this be done?

I just want to be able to preform with my limited midi controller.
if anyone knows how I can do anything like this it'd be a big ass help. this is the 3rd day of frustration and i need to figure it out for next week.

You can either experiment with selecting channel monitor buttons, or program your axiom to send to different MIDI channels. I think Axioms have 4 layers of key zones to work with. If the last thing you hit is a channel select, your + - buttons will change channel.

Or if you'd rather play with switching presets on your controller, that should work the same

I.
1. Switch off Drum rack and set the MIDI track switched on.
2. Click MIDI button on top right corner to activate your midi mapping
3. Map your "Switchers" to the same button on your controller
4. Check if it works

II.
1. Add an instrument to your midi track that you've mapped
2. right-click on it then select "group"
3. Show Chain List
4. Drag-and-grop the second instrument into the list
5. Click "Key"
6. Change scale however you like

The Axiom does have preset recall, and it's easiest to use the Enigma editing software to set up your presets then upload them to your Axiom. It also has a "Zone" feature which will allow you to set the keyboard up in a split configuration like you wanted, check that out in the manual, it will tell you how to assign a different MIDI channel to each zone and set the upper and lower key limits. As for your drum pads, just make sure you assign a different MIDI channel to each track you want to control and it should be pretty straightforward from there.

Hey that looks like It would work for sure but I've run into another problem.
I read on another forum that I can add some numbers into the user configuration.txt inside a folder labeled axiom 61

I did that, it didn't work, and have deleted the folder and put the UserConfiguration.txt as it was before.
but NOW ableton can't recognize ANYTHING except the piano keys.

arg!

How do I fix?!?
