Solo cuts in and out over specific time period?

Hello I'm Using Live 8.

I have recorded in and tweaked my track in arrangement view, but there is a certain section of the song that whenever played no matter if solo is enabled on any track ableton overrides the solo and just plays each track as if the solo wasn't on.. then it cuts back to the only sound of the soloed track after a specific time?'

weird.

There are no automated parameters on the master.

I have 2 send tracks.

I've searched all over the internet to no avail?

The same thing happens no matter what track is soloed.

Any help on this one?

or there a ghost in my machine?

PS I'm Running Ableton Live 8 on OSX Lion on an 2008 iMac with 4 gig ram and Saphire Pro 14 Sound Card.

ok finally figured this out!
I at one stage in the composition had been using Melodyne, which had somehow made its way onto the master track.. for some reason Melodyne was overriding the solo in a particular section.... as I had no need for Melodyne any more i deleted it off the master and my solo works again!
