midi problems?

Hi, i have a strange midi problem. When i draw notes in the midi editor, there is a delay of a few seconds before i hear the sound. I don't think it is latency because when i play my midi keyboard i hear the sound immediately. This problem does not only appears with external instruments but with the sampler instrument to.

I use mac osx 10.5 , ableton 8.2.2

i know what you mean, but the problem is it takes a few seconds until i hear the note. I have never had this problem .

it is in the session view and is doesn't matter how long the clip is, the delay is always the same (about 1,5 seconds). It is not a very big problem, but it is frustrating. When recording the midi to audio, i like to play the loop a couple of times and draw some variations notes during the recording.

I thought it was something with the drivers of my audio interface or midi devices but when i use ableton with only my laptop the problem is still there.

With the preview function there is no delay.

No the track delay is not the issue, it is on 0.

Thanks for the the help, maybe a little reinstall will help me out.
