Hey everyone! So I've been experimenting with different ways of using/routing Maschine into Ableton, all with verrying degrees of sucess (can't realy fail with these 2 ) and the only thing that's really stopping me from settling on one workflow (which my OCD needs) is my paranoia about when I should be effecting, EQing or other mixing/mastering stage techniques especially regarding my drums.
The goal of my workflow is basically to use maschine's pheneomenal ease of use and automation abilities to build rough a track, then get the different elements and sections of this track into Ableton where i can further tweak them, and then go gonzo on them with my APC40 like god intended.
Here's some of the problems I'm facing for example; I could route each drum sample I'm using to a different track in a group inside Ableton, which gives me full control of each drum part (kick, snare, etc.), but I loose the ability to automate inside machine at Group level, and leaves me unable to use Ableton's enevelope editing to the drum-track as a whole. The flip side of course is to have my drums all leave Maschine through one output at Group level, meaning all my automation will reach Ableton the way I want, but I can no longer do things like use my beloved EQ8 on each drum element individually.
Can anyone think of a good compromise?
