Question Burrito (MIDI Assignments, Multiple Projects, etc)

Alright, so here's the deal: I've been a Logic Pro user for a while now, but I've finally gotten an EP out and gotten my shit together enough to play a live show. Needless to say, I got Ableton Suit 8 and began the long and arduous process of exporting all of the tracks/samples/clips and moving them into Ableton. I got one song totally moved over, but now I'm at a bit of an impasse. You see, my only equipment is a KORG NanoKontrol and a nice MIDI keyboard, but I need to be able to mix songs together to create somewhat of a continuous mix. Here's my problem:

I could just add the clips from my next song into the same tracks on Ableton, but each song needs to use different effects on different tracks- unless there's a way to automate the changing of effects like Echo, Reverb, AutoFilter, etc from song to song, simply using all the same tracks won't work.

I could create a new back of tracks, put the clips into there, and then add all the individual effects so I don't have anything overlapping. The problem? My MIDI controller doesn't have enough buttons/knobs/sliders to handle more than nine tracks, essentially, so unless I can automate a change in MIDI controller assignment, I'm stuck on this front as well. I would normally be able to just switch scenes on the controller, but the NanoKontrol only has four scenes, and I have way more than four songs.

Lastly (and the most ideal scenario) would be the idea of quickly switching sets, and thus having two sets open at once, so that I could have a set playing in one window while I prepare another set in another window. That way I could switch to the next song seamlessly, close the first window and prepare the next one.

Anyway, any help I can get with this would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to be able to snag an APC40, but unfortunately I don't have $300 right this very moment. I gotta work within my means, and I know there must be a way to figure this out!

for swapping out effects, try the Chain Selector in the Instrument Racks. perhaps also use a Dummy Clip (search the tips n tricks sticky. it's a clip that only sends control info. honestly I haven't set one up in a while so I won't rattle of a detailed answer.)

many people just fade over to an mp3 player while loading a new set. I've been in the audience while it happened and I knew they were going to do it, I never noticed. practice.

Hmm... The MP3 idea is good, and I'll take a look at Dummy Clips and Chain Selectors. I just wish I could do a live mix between two songs that I actually have a lot of control over, like a Deadmau5-esque sort of deal.
