APC40 <or> Launchpad + mixer ?

i have the APC, the launchpad and BRC 2000 MIDI knob devices and used them
all.

But nowadays all i do is with the APC and the Launchpad and the BRC are
out. the BRC is sold already and the launchpad waits for my decision..

IMO it is much better to concentrate on 1 device and learn to use it
properly than to have the desk full of different devices.

And USB can be fiddly when too many MIDI sending devices hang on the same bus.

I'm rockin a Launchpad, Nocturn, and an apc20.

I"m pretty happy with my setup, although another set of 8 knobs would be handy. But Automap comes in FTW and makes the nocturn extraordinarily useful and easy to manage with multiple templates with multiple pages.

APC40 with side wings removed + Hanz Remote script. Works A-OK.

After playing on both the LP and APC40 I would have to give it to the APC40.
The thing is an absolute dream to work with.

I would say that getting an APC for clips/mixer/device
PLUS
a Launchpad for monome/m4l stuff..
makes perfect sense...
I might got that way if I find a good deal on an APC20/40..

having 2 launchpads side by side will also make for a better resolution sequnencers..

I went from APC40, then added a VCM600, then added an iPad. Pic of my setup below.

I never used any of the knobs and faders on my APC40, so I just sold it and purchased a Launchpad. It's working out well so far.
