ableton sampled midi track doesnt stay waarped

when i have a track that i want to sample, i (on this particular occasion) set my warp markers and slice to new midi track using the warp markers, but the samples in the midi track play in the tracks original bpm instead of the faster bpm i set to begin with. any ideas on what i could do?

Freeze and flatten. Then slice.
