Impossible Tempo Problem - Am I in a Time Warp?

Okay, I just ran into the weirdest problem today. I was working on a track, and when I played it everything way going way too slowly. At first I thought there might've been an import problem with the .wav files or that the seg. BPM was off, but neither of these were any different than normal. I checked to see what the tempo was at, and it was set to "118". When I hit play and turned the metronome on, the clicks went by so slowly it was unlistenable- probably half of what a normal "118" would sound like. Despite this, the metronome still read "118".

I reloaded the track to try and fix it, and this time everything went by ridiculously fast instead of ridiculously slow. The tempo still read "118", the Seg. BPMs were still at "118", and I had (just a half hour ago) played the track at normal speed without a hitch. It was like I had entered a time warp.

Any idea what's up?

Edit: Also possibly worth noting that all of my tracks- even ones I have played tens of times before without any trouble- are either way sped up or way slowed down, despite the tempo marker claiming it's at something like 120 or 150 or whatever. iTunes, Youtube, etc play audio normally- it's just Ableton.

Did you check the time signature as well (normally '4/4' thing beside the BPM)?

Yea, the tie signature is fine as well! It magically fixed itself this morning or something, so I'm just gonna hope it doesn't happen again. Really weird though...
