Why does Fade To Grey at 0 wet raise the level of my tracks?

Post by Dalfir » Sat Aug 20, 2011 12:07 pm

So I have my Live 8.2.2 project set up CDJ style with each track representing a different deck. I've noticed that with Fade To Grey on a track pumps levels into +0dB territory even though the tracks I'm using are brickwalled at 0dB. I find this strange as even if the Fade To Grey knob is at 0, the track still says that it's clipping. This obviously causes issues on the master limiter that thinks it needs to drop things by up to 6dB, even though the actual audio clip doesn't go over 0dB and the track fader is at 0.

Any ideas?

Edit: Fixed to a degree by assigning the bypass switch of the EQ part of Fade To Grey to the FTG macro. Is there any other way or should this keep me happy?
