Hello out there!
I have the following live-situation: Laptop, Midi Controller, Keyboard & Live. I have to play different sounds & effects on my midi keyboard for each song. The same I have to do for a drum trigger. I programmed my sounds in Instrument Racks. Now I have to load them between the songs on this 2 channels. It´s not possible (because of not enough performance) to load all the sounds for the whole set in multiple channels and switch them.
So, is it possible to do that loading action in an easy and quick way? When I use effect AND Instrument racks, I have to load them from 2 dofferent menus and that sucks. I have no idea if it would be possible to assign some buttons to that or so....
Maybe someone knows what I mean and has got a slolution for that. Thanks a lot ion advance!!

Re: Loading Instrument Racks by controller for live set?
1. A lot of people put all of their instances of instruments inside one large rack (using the chain selector to select between them) in a single channel. Then they either use a midi method to adjust the chain selection knob, or they use a clip that will automatically change the position of the chain select on launch (good for a scene button that might include the song title)
2. If you genuinely want to change an instrument rack on the fly, the closest thing I can imagine, is assigning a key(qwerty) or midi to the title bar of that instrument rack. This will 'select' it, and make sure that it is absolutely selected. Once you do that, hit Enter on your qwerty keyboard. This turns on an orange X on the title bar, for hot swapping mode. It jumps you to the specific location of the device in your device browser. What might be convenient is if you had a folder specifically for the instrument racks that you intend to use. Then they'd be in a nice small, easy to browse folder. Use your up/down from the qwerty, hit enter on any instrument rack that you want to switch to. Hot swap stays on until you either highlight something else, or you hit Escape (I think??).

Hey, thanks a lot for the idea, I´ll try around with that during the next days. Super!
If anyone has got other methods, just let us know.
Thanks,
Manollo
