error *.wav cannot be read

anyone know how to resolve this issue ?

ableton live 8.2.2
win7x64

error:
The aduio file "C...yada.yada...*.wav" cannot be read.
(bit depth (0 bits per sample) is not supported for WAVE files.)

The file may be corrupted, or it's header may be corrupted.

See if you can open it in another wave editor (audacity, soundforge, wavelab, etc) - if so, re-save it at 16/24/32 bits and try it in Live again.

If you can't, the file's clearly fucked.

i can play it.
it (the file) works in linux, and windows, and on the target machine itself...it just won't play with ableton ?

and i have about 15 of these small .wav files

Cool, open in your wave editor and re-save them then. Should fix the problem.
