VST Plug-Ins Settings

Post by DCools » Wed Feb 19, 2003 10:20 pm

Hello,

I'm new to Live 2.0 and I have a problem with PSP Professional Sound Projects (PSP) plug-ins. Everything works fine, until I open a Live set again. Live doesn't remember the VST plug-in effect settings. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

For example, with the PSP 84 every setting is differend when I reopen the live set. With VintageWarmer one setting is changed now and then. Is this a Live problem or a PSP problem? I don't know if other VST plug-ins are effected because I only own all the PSP plug-ins.

All these plug-ins work great in ACID Pro 4.0 and Logic Platinum 5.5.

Plug-ins:
------------------------------
PSP 84
PSP Lexicon PSP 42
PSP VintageWarmer
PSP StereoPack
PSP MixPack

System:
------------------------------
Pentium III 1Ghz 512MB
Windows XP Pro SP1
Live 2.02

Regards,
Diederick Cools.

Hi DCools

Could you send me your log file(called "Log.txt" and located in "...preferences\ableton\Live 2.0.1\Preferences") and a song containing the PSP plugins. Send these files to [email protected].

VST Plug-Ins Settings

Post by DCools » Wed Feb 26, 2003 8:23 pm

Hello,

I found another problem which I think is related to this problem. After I close and open a live set, all the VST parameters are not there original name. They are all called "VST Param".

I select "New Live Set (Ctrl-N)". I put al the VST plug-ins I have on various tracks. Then I select in the "Device Chooser" the VST plug-in. In the "Control Chooser" all the control names are correct for each plug-in. Then I do a "Save Live Set (Ctrl+S)", "Close Live Set (Ctrl+W)" and then again open "Open Live Set... (Ctrl+O)". All the controls for each VST Plug-In is now called "VST Param".

It seems like Live 2.02 can't find the VST plug-ins parameter names in the Control Chooser. All parameters are recognised in the Track View Effects window (Unfold Effects Parameters).

Hello,

Am I the only one having this problem? If so, maybe it's my workstation configuration. If not I'll wait for a solution...

Diederick Cools.
