Live 8.2.5 Suite Launch Issues with Mac 10.7.1

I've sent along a report to Ableton but was wondering if anyone has had issues just launching Live 8.2.5 on a Mac running 10.7.1.

I was running the beta (8.2.5b1) and things seemed to be okay till I dropped in the official 8.2.5 files today. Live will launch but it's taking between 5-10 minutes to finish initializing each time I start the application. This is the full Suite as well. Once running I've checked the library and the packs all have loaded and seem fine, no issues with plugins either (same setup as with the beta). I actually dumped my installation folder and re-installed (from a fresh download) and still the same situation.

Just curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing,

Try trashing your prefences file.
User-library-app.support-ableton

I did when I dumped the first install. I use AppCleaner which is pretty good about finding all related files but I went in to the Library folders myself and looked for anything left behind.

It's not Live, it's the OS, Logic Audio is now doing the same thing, it's stalling on "checking midi drivers..."

U might already done this, but maybe try a 'repair permissions' ?

Got it. It was Digidesign midi drivers from a Pro Tools install. Pulled them out and everyone is happy now (except maybe Pro Tools).

I'm having this problem now... I was using ableton only 4 hours ago and I have just spent the last 30 mins trying to get Live to reopen. I haven't updated or installed anything??? I can eventually get Live to open but it crashes as soon as I try and open a set.

Hmm... strange. I noticed the splash screen hang while trying to initialize the midi drivers. Seeing it again in Logic tipped me off. Have you done anything new to your system just before this occurred? I mean possibly a forced shut down that could have corrupted session data?

Nope. The only difference is I was at work before on battery power and now I'm at home plugged in however I was working on the set last night at home so it can't be anything to do with power.

8.2.5 won't launch for me either... I get the install helper, click allow, then nothing...

Not happy about this at all...

The process is running, but Nothing happens at all

Have you both tried trashing the install folder + prefs and reinstalling? So far I'm still running okay... I am using a Mac with 10.7.1 too...

I finally got Live to open! Although I still can't open the old set unfortunately.

It started working after I opened Logic which had to scan all the plugins again but after it opened Live started to work again... very strange
