Want to find a mentor/collaborator

Hi there

I've always worked in collaboration, when it comes to music making. I've worked on a couple of albums of glitchy IDM and ambient. I play the guitar ( acoustic and electric ), bass and soft synths. Currently, I am learning how to sequence beats properly.

I used to work in Fruity Loops, now that I am learning Live, it feels a little dispiriting to learn it all by myself and I sometimes lose focus and find that I abandon my ideas too easily. I also find it useful to get feedback from someone whose opinion I respect.

So, I'd like to meet like minded producers into Ambient/ Electronica. My influences are Apparat, Modeselektor, Moderat, Arovane, Aphex Twin, Brian Eno.

I live in East London, would be great to jam but e-mail collaborations are fine.

Is there like a chat-hangout for Ableton fans somewhere? Some IRC chatroom maybe? I'd be interested in meeting people to talk Live with as well.

re Youtube... check out a channel called AbletonDaily ... I picked up ableton this year having used Logic and Reason for a long time before. This channel was useful.

I should point out however I am not looking for someone to teach me the software, but someone to bounce ideas off, to introduce me to new artists,to jam with, in short, someone who could take my compositions further, and whose compositions I could take further.

I'm willing to mentor on whatever I can, most things are pretty easily searchable online and I certainly don't know everything but I've been working with ableton quite a bit and I am fairly comfortable with how it works.
